Water Skip Ball 2.4″ — 3-Pack
$17.99
Fillable watermelon balls, water skip balls and pool footballs — made by us, shipped from stock.
Small, soft and quick. These stay on top of the water: throw them low and flat and count the bounces. Nothing to fill, nothing to inflate, and they live in a beach bag all summer.

Keep the throw low. Most people launch a skip ball like a cricket ball and it digs straight in; the trick is to release it almost parallel to the water, about knee height, with a flat wrist. On a calm pool the first bounce should happen within a metre of you.
Water matters more than technique. Flat water gives long runs; chop kills them. A swimming pool early in the morning is the easiest place to learn, a lake at dusk is the prettiest, and surf is the hardest. The 2.4-inch balls hold a bounce slightly better on rough water than the 2.2-inch, which is the only real difference between the sets.
The 3-inch disc in the three-packs behaves differently again — it skims rather than bounces, and it will keep going long after a ball has stopped. Children usually prefer the disc because it is forgiving; adults usually go back to the ball because it is not.
Fair warning: these things are dangerously addictive, and your family will develop a serious skipping problem. This set comes with three skippers: two round balls and one flat disc that's basically the Michael Jordan of water skipping. The flat one regularly launched clear across our 20-foot pool and into the neighbor's yard, which was both impressive and slightly embarrassing. All three skip…
My boy is already obsessed with trying to skip rocks like his big sister, so these were a perfect pick for him to play with this summer. It took a little practicing, but before long he was able to get the balls bouncing across the water with ease. The size was smaller than I had expected, but is perfect for big or little hands to play catch. These are great fun for playing even by yourself, but…
Perfect entertainment for the pool or just on the inflatables outside! I did thought it was gonna be bigger but actually the size is just perfect so it won't splash all on people's faces.
Not sure which one suits the people who will be using it? The deck notes on how the game works and pool games by age go through it properly.
